Our Four-Generation Legacy

Our family’s journey in perfumery is a story of passion, preservation, and passing down sacred knowledge from one generation to the next:

• The Foundation: In 1925, the late Lala Banwari Lal Mehrotra laid the cornerstone of our tradition, dedicating his life to the authentic extraction of natural fragrances.
• The Preservation: His son, the late Lala Jugal Kishore Mehrotra, inherited this passion, preserving and meticulously refining the ancient art of perfume distillation.
• The Global Expansion: Under the visionary leadership of the third generation, Shri Govind Kumar Mehrotra (Owner of Puja Perfumery), the business expanded its horizons, introducing our cherished aromas to customers across India and around the globe.
• The Present Day: Today, the fourth generation—Prabhat Mehrotra and Gaurav Mehrotra—proudly carries this heritage forward. Backed by over 125 years of combined family experience, they maintain an uncompromising commitment to purity, quality, and craftsmanship.

The Art of the Craft: Deg Bhapka Distillation

We believe that true fragrance cannot be rushed. Our attars and essential oils are entirely handcrafted utilizing the traditional Deg-Bhapka distillation process.

This centuries-old, artisanal method allows us to capture the unadulterated, natural essence of fresh flowers, herbs, precious woods, and rich spices. The result is a collection of exceptionally rich, authentic, and long-lasting fragrances that modern machinery simply cannot replicate.
